Israeli forces have occupied East Jerusalem since 1967.
JERUSALEM (Ma’an) – Israeli forces detained five young Palestinian men in the Old City of Jerusalem on Tuesday evening, a member of a local East Jerusalem committee of prisoners' families said.

Alaa al-Haddad told Ma’an that the five were stopped in the alleys of the Old City before they were beaten and detained.

He identified the detainees as Khalil Tarhuni, Said Halabi, Wisam Halabi, Mustafa Tarhuni and Rami Abu Sbeih.

An Israeli police spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
