HEBRON (Ma'an) -- The Israeli Ministry of Agriculture on Monday sent tractors to damage Palestinian crops planted east of Yatta in the south Hebron hills, local farmers said.

Five tractors damaged the land on the pretext that it was located within Israel's borders, farmers told Ma'an.

The fields had already been planted with grains and belonged to the Abu Iram, Jabarin, Hoshiya and Abu Sabha families.

Israel is stepping up efforts to force Palestinians off their own land. They use force, terror, unjust arrests, arrests of children, burning their fields, cutting down their olive trees, in fact anything to make Palestinians' attempts to provide for themselves unviable. They criticise anybody who tries to assist Palestinians, as supporting terrorism, and decry financial assistance to Palestinians "they should provide for themselves rather than rely on UN handouts" - forget the US aid to Israel!

Well said Gabi, it is just another example of Israel trying to starve the Palestinians out of there land, if there is no food people tend to move on, or are to weak to fight back. and when they do fight back, they are terrorists lol Yet demolitions of homes and fields full of food is a security issue April .... ICC .... BRING IT ON

@#s1&2: What would Australia and N.Zealand do if people planted wheat on public land? Would those govts be accused of nonsense were they to destroy the crops? Planting crops inside the Greenline on land they dont own is actually the converse of what both of you state. It is Palestinians trying to steal Israeli land. The accused live in PA-controlled areas and yet crossed the Greenline to cultivate public land in Israel. Your bias has blinded your common sense.
