TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- Israeli police have detained an Israeli man on incitement to racism charges over a Facebook post about killing "Arab babies," Israeli media reported Tuesday.
Israel's Ynet news site said the 30-year-old man was brought to a magistrate court in Petah Tikva where his remand was extended.
Identified on Facebook as Zohar Zuwarits, he wrote in Hebrew of having a dream about killing Arab babies which he went on to describe as the "rosiest dream I have ever had."
"What a dream I had, I enter the newborns department in a hospital where there were all those boxes with newborns inside. I then took a slaughtering knife from my jacket and walked past every baby. Wherever there is an Arab baby, I beheaded them, and wherever there is a Jewish baby, I put the General Rectification, it was the rosiest dream I have ever had until this day."
Zuwarits allegedly told interrogators that his Facebook page was hacked two weeks ago and he knew nothing about the post. However, he was quoted by a Hebrew-language website as saying that his relation with the Arabs isn't warm and that he supports "killing terrorists instead of trying them."
An Israeli police spokesman did not immediately return calls seeking to confirm the Ynet report.
