NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces raided al-Sawiya high school south of Nablus on Monday and detained two students, a Palestinian Authority official said.

Ghassan Daghlas told Ma'an that Israeli forces surrounded the school and fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at students.

Obada Muhammad Izzat was identified as one of the students arrested.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said nine Palestinians were detained overnight, four in Hebron, three in Ramallah, and two in Tulkarem.
