Agriculture ministry signs $4.1 million deal with Saudi foundation

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- The Palestinian Authority Ministry of Agriculture on Tuesday signed a $4.1 million agreement with the charity foundation of Saudi prince al-Waleed Bin Talal to support agricultural projects.

Minister of Agriculture Walid Assaf and the secretary-general of the foundation, Abeer Kaaki, signed the agreement in the presence of President Mahmoud Abbas.

The agreement will support a program for the reduction of poverty and the establishment of small agricultural businesses.

President Abbas also granted the prince the Palestinian High Medal of Honor in gratitude to his support of Palestinians.

"support of Palestinians"? Which Palestinians? And that medal of "honor" coming from Abbas is rather ironic,considering that Abbas is not example a good example of "honor".Remember,this is Abbas,the same guy who was warned by Israel,in advance,of F-16 "Operation Cast Lead" attacks on Dec 27th 2008 on Gaza's police academy,schools,shops,farms,houses &he did N-O-T-H-I-N-G,to warn(1.5 MILL trapped civilians(incld.kids)of those coming attacks or attempted Fatah COUP! "Honor"? "Support"? Riiiiiiight!
