EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma’an) – Egyptian security forces arrested 12 Sudanese migrants as they attempted to cross into Israel through the Sinai Peninsula, security sources told Ma’an Wednesday.

The sources highlighted that the detainees were referred to Egyptian military prosecution.

They would be deported to Sudan unless they have been caught trying to infiltrate into Israel before. If it was not the first time, they will be jailed in Egypt, the sources added.

Epic irony here. The fact the Sudanese were attempting to cross into Israel rather than Egypt, or Jordan or Palestinian territory or even Turkey says more about real apartheid and claims of apartheid in the region than any Palestinian demonstration.
