Israeli forces detain 13 Palestinians across West Bank

NABLUS (Ma'an) -- The Israeli army detained 13 Palestinians in overnight arrest raids across the West Bank, locals and an army spokeswoman told Ma'an.
Locals said Israeli forces early Wednesday raided the al-Makhfiyya neighborhood of Nablus and detained Huthayfa Muhammad Sharida after ransacking his family home and confiscating his computer and cell phone.
Separately, Israeli forces raided al-Ein refugee camp near Nablus and detained 21-year-old Muhammad Basyuni, witnesses said.
Israeli troops also detained two Palestinian youths in Yaabad west of Jenin, locals told Ma'an.
Witnesses said that several military vehicles entered the village early Wednesday and that soldiers ransacked several homes before detaining 22-year-old Abed Abu Bakr and 23-year-old Kamil Hirzallah.
In Bethlehem Israeli troops raided al-Rashayda village in the east and detained two young men.
Head of al-Rashayda village council Fawwaz Rashayda told Ma'an that Israeli forces detained Othman Hlayyil Rashayda, 25, and his brother Bilal, 23.
An army spokeswoman told Ma'an that Israeli soldiers arrested one Palestinian in Qalqiliya, two in Yaabad, one in Nablus, one north of Nablus, one south of Nablus, two in Ramallah, one north of Ramallah, one in Qalandia refugee camp, two in al-Jalazun refugee camp, and one in Beit Ula.
The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
