RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Palestinian protesters and Israeli soldiers were injured Friday in clashes with Israeli forces in Silwad north of Ramallah, witnesses said.
Witnesses said that one was hit with a tear-gas canister in the face, and another with a metal bullet in the head. They were moderately injured.
Several Israeli soldiers were also lightly wounded as Palestinians threw stones and empty bottles at them, they said.
An Israeli army spokesman confirmed two injuries he said were the result of riot-dispersal means that forces used to break up a riot in the area.
He said a border guard officer was lightly injured by rocks.
