GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Egyptian authorities on Sunday denied entry to a Malaysian delegation seeking to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, Gaza government officials said.

Palestinian officials said eight solidarity activists from Malaysia attempted to cross through to Gaza four times, and that on the fourth time they were deported.

The officials denounced the Egyptian actions, saying the Malaysian delegation was set to provide Gaza residents with humanitarian aid through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Gaza City.

Egypt opened the Rafah crossing to special cases for a three-day period starting Saturday.

The crossing is the principal connection between Gaza's 1.7 million residents and the outside world since Israel's imposition of an economic blockade in 2007.

There have been frequent closures of the Rafah terminal in recent months due to political unrest in Egypt and violence in the Sinai Peninsula, placing an added burden on Gaza Strip residents.

After the July ouster of president Mohamed Morsi, Egypt's army has repeatedly closed the Rafah border crossing and destroyed hundreds of tunnels that Gazans used for years to import fuel, building materials and other goods.

These acts by Egypt's gives further amunation in support of Israel for their refusal. There is no chance in hell for Gaza to be free from all these stoppages. Shame on muslim countries especially Egypt's new regime to refuse entry by various delegations. Muslims fighting muslims is a good example to non muslims. lol

So what is it exactly that they were bringing. If bundles of food and medicine or clothes and toys then for sure the Egyptians could forward them. Or did they come empty handed and just wanted to enter for the fun of it ?

This has nothing to do with identity and everything to do with pragmatism. No one wants to help a bad neighbor.

Gaza is a piece of land illegally occupied by the terrorist entity known as Hamas, and there fore Egypt has every right to deny any so called solidarity activists from crossing her border into that useless wasteland that used to contain crop producing hot houses when the jews lived there, only to be torn down and destroyed by the barbarian Islamic terrorists that now control it.

The Jews are worse than the Nazis, "When Jews were persecuted by the Nazis in Germany they sought the sympathy and support of the world. But their sufferings have taught them nothing, have not made them understand the pain of suffering. "Instead, they are now behaving worse than Nazis, not caring at all for the suffering and deaths they inflict upon others, - It seemed to send a message that the Jewish state and its people are sacred and those who go against them would have to pay a heavy price
