BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- More than 20 passengers were injured early Tuesday in a road accident south of Bethlehem, medics told Ma'an.

Muhammad Awad, the Bethlehem district's ambulance and emergency service director, told Ma'an that a small bus carrying 25 young workers collided with a car near the village of Um Salamouna.

The bus flipped over as a result of the accident.

Most of the passengers were from the village of al-Khadr south of Bethlehem.

The injured were taken in ambulances to hospitals in Bethlehem and Hebron for treatment. They sustained minor to moderate injuries, medics said.
