BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Fatah-affiliated student bloc won student elections at Bethlehem University on Wednesday, the dean of students announced.

Mahmoud Hammad told Ma'an that the Al-Quds Wa Al-Awda bloc won the majority 19 seats of 31, while the leftist Wattan bloc earned the other 12 seats.

Hammad said 1,826 students, comprising 65.5 percent of the students, cast their votes in the election which began earlier the same day.
