NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Palestinian security sources on Monday identified a man who was shot, injured, and detained by Israeli forces the night before.

The man was identified as 35-year-old Ashraf Abu al-Huda from Nablus, who his brother says is an undocumented worker who regularly travels to Israel without a permit.

Security sources told Ma'an Abu al-Huda was shot several times by Israeli border police after he allegedly hurled a Molotov cocktail at an Israeli military jeep near the village of Huwarra south of Nablus.

But the man's brother told Ma'an that Abu al-Huda left his home on Sunday to go to work in Israel.

Allam Abu al-Huda said his brother -- who is married and a father of five children -- regularly leaves for work in the evening in order to sneak through Israel's separation wall.

Witnesses said Sunday that Israeli forces shot and critically injured a man in Huwarra.

The soldiers then took the man away in a military ambulance, locals said.

The area was declared a closed military zone.

An Israeli police spokesperson did not return calls seeking comment on Sunday.

He had no permit.... As we all know permits are hard to come by.. Was his papers checked, and then shot? Or was he shot first, and then asked for papers.. And living under occupation without a permit, allows heavily armed soldiers to shoot to kill.. What a sick and perverted society..

"undocumented"? "without a permit"? This young man IS INDIGENOUS PALESTINIAN,living under OCCUPATION,APARTHEID&PERSECUTION,in his OWN LAND!The terrorists are the OCCUPIERS,they are the invaders, criminals. All he was doing was trying to EARN money to feed a family &work in dignity! In other words LIVE!Thank goodness Zionism is IMPLODING!'Closed military zone' is code for APARTHEID &a free-shooting range at non-Jews! TEAR DOWN THOSE WALLS!

It's not that simple..if the Palestinians ad not killed over 2000 Israelis in the last yrs..if the Arabs would stop the hate speech, which keeps the Israelis on edge..if individual Arabs did not try to knife Israelis on an on going rate of 10 a week...as right after Oslo there was open employment in Israel for gaza and the West Bank...these defensive measures would not be needed...there is a terrible circle of attack and revenge..attack and harsh defense against attacks...

Bleakly comic. OF COURSE the claim that he 'threw a molotov cocktail' is an utter fabrication.

To Johnny Benson #8: 'It's not that simple...' It is that simple. You just don't want to admit it. If you start down the path of SIMPLY looking at the truth, you'll be forced to admit that the cause you attempt to support is one of pure lies and unalloyed evil. So you've got no choice but to attempt to obscure that with bullsh__.

To Johnny Benson #4: '.....if the Arabs would stop the hate speech, which keeps the Israelis on edge...' ...and that becomes a justification for attempted murder. God help us. I suppose if the guy in the back of the bus is making me feel 'on edge,' I acquire a right to shoot him? Hell, I probably make some people feel 'on edge' all the time. I didn't realize that means they get to shoot me.

To wayne NZ #1: 'So was this man a terrorist to Brian ?' Of course he was. A 'terrorist' to Brain is anyone opposed to Israel, or anyone Israel chose to shoot. See 'terrorist mosque,' 'terrorist flotilla,' and 'terrorist kindergarten.' It's just a matter of how one defines the word. I'm a terrorist. Brian should come and do something about it. I'm looking forward to it.
