BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces deployed on the Gaza border were on a state of high alert after a mortar shell landed in an empty space near the fence earlier Monday.

Israeli forces closed the Kerem Shalom and Beit Hanoun crossings in northern Gaza on Monday for the Passover holiday.

The civil administration also announced a full closure on the West Bank from midnight Sunday to midnight Tuesday, and reduced working hours at the Allenby Bridge.

Israeli forces also banned the entry of Palestinians April 14-15 and 20-21.
