BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Friday raided the municipality building of a Hebron village and seized a hard drive containing footage from security cameras, local officials said.
Idhna village spokesman Abdul Rahman al-Tumeizi told Ma'an that five military jeeps carrying dozens of soldiers raided the building and seized municipality property.
The soldiers threatened to blow up the gate leading to the building if municipality officials did not comply, the spokesman said.
During the raid, some 200 settlers tried to enter the village but were repeatedly stopped by Israeli forces.
The raid is thought to be related to the recent killing of an Israeli settler in the surrounding area.
An Israeli military spokeswoman did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
