BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli cabinet ministers are scheduled to discuss imposing tougher punishment against Palestinians who "riot" inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, according to Israeli Channel 2.

The channel reported Friday evening that after the Passover holidays, Israeli ministers will discuss the possibility to imprison "rioters" for a longer period.

The report highlighted that "riots" had increased recently inside the compound.

A proposal has been made recently, according to Channel 2, to place "rioters" under administrative detention, whether they hail from East Jerusalem or from the Islamic movement in northern Israel.

This is Israel's plan to further militarise Jerusalem. The people react only to Israel's barbaric and disrespectful abuse at Muslim worshippers. It's an absolute disgrace and Gods punishment of Israel's tyranny will be absolute!

If only the israles could understand the plight of the Palestinians. They should imagine if they were in the position of the Palestinians, they would also fight back and think they are within their rights.

@2 If Israel could understand anything beside controling and annexing more land they would understand that as they disrespect other religious groups it does reflect on Israel world wide about their own religious beliefs and if they believe that they are God chosen people they must be living in a fantasy world. . But it seems for Israel religion is one way to maintain and justify their occupation. But God will not punish Israel, he has nothing to do with it. Man will.

1- Many Israelis Do "understand the plight of the Palestinians", but Few, if any, Palestinians seem capable of understand Israelis, and 2- Israelis Do see themselves as "Fighting Back and being within their Rights", for after all 3- Israelis did Not invade their neighbors 3 Times, with Genocidal intent, Nor Terrorize them for decades with rockets & bombs, and 4- Just like Palestinians, Israelis Do have an ancient Biblical connection (Kings, Prophets) and modern rights to the Land !!!!

'No more Mr. Nice Guy' rides again! They never get tired of that line -- nor do they ever realize how bleakly absurd it is.

Israel has it easy on this one, because Palestinians continue to play right into its hands by staging violent bottle and rock-throwing incidents. Security trumps access, but Palestinian Muslims won't take the hint. Sooner or later, unless Palestinian Muslims do, they will be banded from Al-Aqsa completely.

We rarely see violent riots in this country (& most western states) because
- the Police in the USA have a ZERO-TOLERANCE for violent riots, just as
- the Police in Israel should have a ZERO-TOLERANCE for them too, and
- If that means "'No more Mr. Nice Guy", it is Long, Long, Over Due,
rather than "bleakly absurd" !!!
* THERE SHOULD BE PUNISHMENT FOR ALL STONE-THROWERS, AND
* THERE SHOULD BE DEATH FOR ALL MILITANTS TARGETING CIVILIANS.
