HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A Fatah-affiliated student bloc won the student council elections at Hebron University by a small margin on Thursday, the dean of students at the university said.

The Yasser Arafat bloc won 21 seats with 1,908 student votes, while the Hamas-affiliated bloc won 19 seats with 1773 votes, the leftist bloc won one seat with 105 votes, and the Palestinian initiative bloc received 76 votes, which was not enough to qualify the group for a seat.

4056 out of 6086 eligible students voted, or almost 67 percent.

Hmmm! A 135 vote margin, when 2,030 eligible students DIDN'T vote?Where were they? I hope they didn't "conveniently" stay away(no show),like many of the Knesset MK's do when faced with a radical Jewish right-wing vote on an apartheid bill pushed by Zionist 'settlers'? At this time of pending PALESTINIAN UNITY,every single eligible Palestinian(even dual-citizen)NATIONAL vote must be patriotically cast.
