NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Dozens of Palestinians on Monday detained three Israeli settlers who were driving quad bikes through a village in the northern West Bank.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official who monitors settlement activity in the northern West Bank, told Ma'an that three settlers entered the Nablus-area village of Burin on four-wheelers and "provoked" residents.

Palestinians stopped the settlers and "detained" them in an apartment in the village before contacting the PA security services, Daghlas said.

The PA liaison department then delivered the settlers to Israeli officials.

A spokeswoman for Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories confirmed the incident, saying the settlers rode into Burin "accidentally."

"The settlers were taken out from the village by the Palestinians to the hands of the (Israeli) Civil Administration without any damage. In this moment they are handling the extraction of the ATVs from the village," Sapir Mizrahi said.

She confirmed that the settlers were armed and said that it was illegal for Israeli settlers to enter Palestinian villages.

Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Israeli police were "looking into the circumstances of how they (the settlers) accidentally entered Burin."

Israeli settlers regularly make their way onto Palestinian land in the West Bank, often in attempts to damage Palestinian property.

In March, Palestinian farmers detained an Israeli settler after they caught him chopping down olive trees in their fields near the Nablus-district village of Talfit.

In January, farmers from the Nablus town of Qusra held some 18 settlers captive after they tried to uproot olive trees in the village.

The settlers were later transferred to Israeli military forces via Palestinian liaison officials.

Settlers routinely attack Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank, and Israeli authorities rarely investigate crimes carried out by settlers against Palestinian communities.

The armed settlers "accidentally" entered Burin.... sure. If armed Palestinians enter "accidentally" so called "Israel" the text would be: IDF killed armed terrorists for invading "Israel" planning a suicide attack (or planning to kidnap/ kill "Israelis".

Sorry, this does not make sense. If they were armed then by the definition of Palestinian propagandists the settlers should have opened fire and killed every Palestinian they saw. But they didn't - so that means the propagandists are wrong. Again.

She said that it was "illegal for Israeli settlers to enter Palestinian villages." Sounds like apartheid to me.

Abbas delivered them to the Israeli's? Riiiiiiight! I'm sure fair"justice" will be done there, lol! Kinda like the Italians delivering the allied POW's to the SS! I'm sure the armed"Jewish-only colony"thugs will get their"just"rewards(new MIG's,pistols,mallets,pipes,Brown-shirts,etc RAVSHATZ rewards),to give to their drunken Yeshiva,"Death to/Gas the Arabs"spawn for May "celebrations"?

I do not understand why can't the Palestinian authority bring this illegal settlers to court. Why can't a settlers who damage palesttinian property appears before a Palestinian court.

Brian Cohen / Israel The Palestinians were armed as well, an it clear they heavily outnumber by the illegal settlers. They may be religious zealots but they aren't idiots and they clearly aren't going to enter a battle they can't win.

This is response to Brian. CoHEN. Palestinians get ki Led and injured daily by the Israeli I'm interested in your comment about propaganda I was there 3 times in the past 2 years. My experience has been Israeli racism. I suggest you go to Ramallah for a day and see what the average Palestinian goes through.

To Brian Cohen #2: 'Sorry, this does not make sense. If they were armed then by the definition of Palestinian propagandists the settlers should have opened fire and killed every Palestinian they saw. But they didn't - so...' So Israel is to be credited every time one of its citizens DOESN'T shoot a Palestinian? This is like me pointing out to my wife that she doesn't give me credit for all the cars I don't hit. But then, I'm joking -- you're actually serious. Poor Brain...

To cashief #6: 'I do not understand why can't the Palestinian authority bring this illegal settlers to court. Why can't a settlers who damage palesttinian property appears before a Palestinian court.' That can't happen because Palestinians are racial inferiors who lack all rights. It certainly wouldn't do for a Palestinian to pass sentence on a Jew. Clear now?

#3 It's not "apartheid", genius. It's the laws set up by your own civil administration. You know those red signs in Hebrew, Arabic & English at the entrance of EVERY Palestinian village which declare that it's "dangerous" and "Illegal" for Israelis to enter? The IDF put those there.

#6 because the Israeli government would not allow it as they do not recognize the legitimacy of Palestinian rule in the West Bank. After all, everything in "Judea and Samaria" is part of Eretz Israel. If the PA tried to prosecute an Israeli criminal it would surely be disrupted by a battalion of IDF who would extract him before he's ever taken to trial, whether the Palestinians like it or not.

BRIAN COHEN ~ You don't make sense! You are fighting a loosing battle as are your right wing cohorts. Racist thieves get their due punishment,as did the nazi's. Very big changes are on the horizon. So, you might want to plan a move to a real country.
