BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The World Bank on Monday transferred approximately $30 million to the Palestinian Authority, the international financial institution said in a statement.

The funds, contributed by Japan, will go towards "education, health care, and other vital social services for the Palestinian people," the statement said.

The most vital social service would be a stand by the World Bank against the Israeli occupation (and freezing any funds it might be appropriating at the moment for Israeli projects). Funds cannot stop the incursions into schools or the intimidation, beating and arrests of school children. Funds cannot help them learn in a hostile environment. Funds cannot improve the health of children and adults held without reason in Israeli jails where they suffer mistreatment or lack of needed treatment.

2., A loan? Really? The odds of Palestinians EVER repaying are slim and none, and slim just stepped out for a long vacation.
