GAZA CITY (Ma'an) – A prisoner held in a jail in the northern Gaza Strip died early Wednesday, Gaza's ministry of interior said in a statement.

The prisoner, identified only as S.H., was 34 years old and died of a heart attack, the statement said.

His body was delivered to his family in the Bedouin village of Umm al-Nasr in the northern Gaza Strip.

The man was detained about two weeks ago, locals told Ma'an.
