BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Presidential higher Committee on Church Affairs has released a series of videos this week to coincide with the visit of Pope Francis to the Holy Land.

The three-day visit kicks off Saturday when Pope Francis flies to Jordan. He will travel on to Bethlehem early Sunday, then to Israel, where he will spend the rest of the day and Monday in Jerusalem before heading home.

In a video from Gaza, entitled "Messages from Palestine," residents ask the pope not to the forget the plight of Gazans living under siege.

The message is there. For the taking.

Guess where Christians are treated better. There were only 38,000 Christians in Israel in 1948; that number has increased 10 fold. Israel now has 130,000 Arab Christians. There are also nearly 200,000 non Arab Christians in Israel. There are only 38,000 Christians in the West Bank and 1500 in Gaza. Two thirds of Christians living in the West Bank emigrated out of the West Bank between 1948 and 1967 while under Arab control.

First comment spiked! Good video! We love you Palestine! And tiny Gaza with 1.8 MILLION beautiful, albeit trapped, people is in our hearts&minds, always! How could Francis forget Palestine? It's the pluralistic Holy Land of monotheism. His very position obligates him to not forget!

Reality is there "For the taking" too, but Palestinians are never interested, & besides the only place to "take such a message" is the trash heap, since Palestine's terms for becoming a real state will not be accepted by Israel, the only state with the power to actually create a Palestinian state, so * PALESTINE WILL REMAIN AN IMPOVERISHED AUTHORITY, until either Palestinians accept reality, or (probably) FOREVER.
