Spokesman: PA committed to unity govt

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Spokesman for the Palestinian unity government Ehab Bseiso said Monday that the government was continuing its efforts to end the negative impact of Palestinian division.

Bseiso said in a statement that the government was committed to the terms of the reconciliation and the resolutions of the Cairo agreement. He added that it set initiatives to end the negative impact of the division and unite Palestinian institutes.

He highlighted that the government was on course to achieve its main task which is the implementation of the Cairo agreement, adding that it follows a comprehensive plan that aims to create a positive atmosphere to preserve the unity of the people.

Bseiso called on all Palestinian factions to avoid tensions between them and focus on achieving the aspirations of Palestinians through unity.
