HEBRON (Ma’an) -- A local Yatta resident set fire to himself after Palestinian police confiscated his cousin’s illegal vehicle, medics said Tuesday.

Medical sources told Ma’an that Qassem Buheis arrived at Abul Hassan al-Qassem hospital with second-degree burns.

Security sources said Buheis entered a Yatta police station to inquire about his cousin’s confiscated vehicle and then poured a flammable substance on himself and set himself on fire.

Police immediately put out the fire and took him to Abul Hassan al-Qassem hospital.
