WASHINGTON (AFP) -- US Secretary of State John Kerry condemned on Sunday the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers from the West Bank, and said many indications pointed to the involvement of Hamas.

"We are still seeking details on the parties responsible for this despicable terrorist act, although many indications point to Hamas' involvement," he said.

"As we gather this information, we reiterate our position that Hamas is a terrorist organization known for its attacks on innocent civilians and which has used kidnapping in the past."

Hamas denied any involvement in the disappearance of the teens from near the Jewish-only settlement of Gush Etzion, calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claims the Islamist group perpetrated the attack "stupid."

The youths, aged 16-19, disappeared late Thursday.

More than likely the 3 'lost" Israeli youths are a Zionist false flag designed to prevent Palestinian reconcilliation!

any info the US/Kerry has is carefully being spoon fed by Israel, mean while Netanyahu is treating this as his own personal political dairy farm - milking it for all it's worth

US Secretary of State John Kerry condemnations mean nothing, just as EU's Ms Ashton's condemnations mean nothing, and - Israel will ignore them, regarding "settlements & proportional force", just as - Palestinians ignore them, regarding "terrorism & abduction" !!

Its ironic that Israeli propaganda over the yrs has come back to bite Israel. In all likelihood Hamas has something to do w/the kidnapping but has learned well from the Israelis to manage plausible deniability. They disappeared in Area C which is under Israeli control. There is no shortage of Pals willing to do something to free the 1000s languishing in Israeli jails & those on hunger strike. The difference is that Israel is at the end of its rope & the Muslims are just beginning to rise up.

How many thousands of Palestinian teens have similarly disappeared? That is, been seized by the Jewish state and indefinitely incarcerated incommunicado or killed? Comment published July 10, 2011: Israeli “Corporal Gilad Shalit was a soldier in uniform, on duty and armed when taken prisoner. Yes, his detention is tragic, but less so than the detention of each of the children as young as thirteen among Israel's 11,000 Palestinian prisoners. I suspect they mostly just want to see their parents a

What about the "indications" Kerry that USG has been involved for 1/2 a century of Zionist Israel's illegal occupation, expansion &terrorist persecution/disappearances/kidnapping of THOUSANDS of innocent Palestinians? Not to mention the indefinate detentions of hundreds of Palestinian children & women(some pregnant),taken in night-raids by ShinBet &IDF in constant ethnic persecution. You like those "indications" better'Cherie Kerry'? HYOCRITE!

So Hamas left Gaza after recieving a call that three teennagers were walking in the West Bank. So they infiltrated Israeli check points, went to the West Bank and kidnap the 3 teenagers. If anybody believe that Hamas has anything to do with that than I guess they can believe anything.

Now that Mr Kerry has spoken openly regarding his bias, he's just confirmed US is not a neutral partner in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. This is the same US rhetoric that continually causes strife in the M.East & the Muslim world, by designating terrorist activity irrespective of guilt or innocence. Could they not have awaited the outcome before casting aspersions? I hope the boys are safe, and remain so, whether kidnapped or not, Allah created all of us. However, Kerry's remarks don't help.

The "false flag" theory doesn't work here in the way the "faked film" theory didn't work in the Ofer killings. The three students are known individuals and it's not credible they're holed up somewhere while a Mossad hoax or "black op" derails the unity government. (And logically, they would have to disappear completely and assume new identities.) So what's more likely? Every now and then there is an outburst of Palestinian violence. Not an organised act of resistance for which a group claims

(contd.) responsibility, but a personal, individual expression of frustration, abandon and hate. Acts that are reckless, desperate and self-destructive. The killing of the boy soldier asleep on a bus was one. Itamar was another. If the three Yeshiva students have been killed (which they might have as there's been no word of hostages or ransom), it may well be a reckless act of revenge for the murders of teenagers Nadeem Nawara and Mohammad Abu Daher (aged 15 and 17) at Ofer Detention Centre.

(contd.) Forty-seven years of oppression and humiliation of a population of several million, which for MOST represents a LIFETIME of traumatisation and goading, is guaranteed to result in shocking acts like this may prove to be.

I agree with Ian/ australia it may just be random retribution for unbelieveable violence against Palestinian teenagers walking near Ofer. Since there is no word the prognosis does not look good. Boycott Divest and sanction israel!
