BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli settlements in the West Bank have considered temporary solutions to prevent more kidnapping incidents, Israel's Maariv newspaper reported Tuesday.

They have asked settlers not to hitchhike on main roads, and to stay inside the settlements waiting for a ride if public transportation were available.

Many settlers still hitchhike on main roads in the West Bank after the kidnapping of three teenagers last week, which increases chances of attacks by Palestinians posing as settlers, Maariv reported.

The Hebrew-language daily reported that hitchhiking on main roads in the West Bank has always worried Israeli security, who will begin providing public transportation to prevent such incidents.

The Only Way for Israel to provide secure transport for settlers is by keeping all Palestinian vehicles off Israeli roads, and Israel should have both realized and implemented this long ago !!

Doesn't matter. Palestinians also try to kidnap Israelis inside the green line and have done so in the past. Usually they just murder them, especially the civilians.

Actually, I think this is a wrong move by the Israeli government. These "settlers" act unilaterally in moving to these lands and should be responsible for their own security.

#1tibi Yes, Palestinians should not be allowed to travel anywhere ever at any time so that squatters can steal freely. After all, Palestinians can't be actual human beings. They aren't Jews!

Settlers should be guaranteed safety while on the road to a nearby village to burn some olive trees, and come back home with no disturbance
