BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Israeli military said on Sunday morning that a Palestinian man armed with a hand grenade was arrested earlier in the day near an Israeli town close to the border with Gaza.
"Initial investigation suggests that the terrorists infiltrated Israeli through the security fence in the southern Gaza Strip," the army said in a statement.
The individual was "transferred to security forces for questioning," the statement added.
The army said that the man was arrested near an "Israeli community" in the Eshkol Regional Council, but did not specify in which town.
