RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- The Palestinian Prisoners' Society said in a statement on Sunday that all Hamas-affiliated prisoners in Israeli jails had been moved to Nafha prison in southern Israel.

Extra riot control officers were sent to Nafha as well, the statement said.

A spokeswoman for the Israeli Prisoner service denied the claims, saying that Hamas-affiliated prisoners had not been moved.

In most cases, Hamas prisoners are separated from other prisoners, but this is not a recent development, Sivan Weissman said.

Weissman said the Israeli government had recently ordered "new terms" for Hamas-affiliated prisoners, but said the terms were not made public.

A report by the Palestinian Ministry of Prisoner Affairs on Friday said that Israeli Prisons Service had determined a series of new rules against Palestinian prisoners, some specifically targeting Hamas prisoners.
