BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah said that Israel has officially requested that the PA stop their appeal to the UN for extracting oil and petroleum from northern West Bank areas.

Hamdallah told Ma'an that “the Israeli coordinator of government affairs officially requested that the oil extraction from Rantis and Qalqiliya stop and called it a one-side procedure.”

“There are 160 million oil barrels in Rantis and Qaliqiliya. Nevertheless Israel rejected what was agreed upon with the US secretary of state on the possibility of extracting gas from the Gaza Strip,” Hamdallah added.

He explained the “security coordination” with Israel saying “it is not cooperation, but an important coordination for managing everyday life matters, including managing the president’s personal movement between areas and across borders, in addition to security services in Area C in case security forces were needed in the area to provide security and safety to locals.”

The PM rejected “accusations” from Palestinians who say the PA security forces are helping the Israeli army find the three missing settlers and that the Israeli security services “would not allow access to such information.”

“We do not accept for our security services to work for the occupation. Our security services are our sons and most of them are ex-prisoners who are patriotic, and we do not give information on our residents for the occupation,” he added.

Hamdallah said that the PA rejects Israeli actions in Hebron, including the siege, and he highlighted that the government would help the residents of Hebron.

“They did not inform us on the process and they will not inform us when it ends,” he said.

Why does this Palestinian "leader" think that Palestinian criminals can kidnap Israeli children and there will be no consequences? How stupid is this Hamdallah guy? Or is he just another Palestinian mafia thug? Oil shmoil. Palestinians do not have the right to kidnap children. That is a war crime. There are no excuses. It is not allowed by anyone anywhere - including Palestinians.

Hamdallah must get into the habit of mentioning Gaza too,as part of united Palestine.WB'ite Palestinians must speak of Gaza more,in public,i.e. Hamdallah should have also mentioned that Israel also, still, prevents Palestine from extracting its own natural marine gas,in the Gazan-offshore fields,by way of illegal naval blockade.Palestine is MORE than WB!

I take it Israel needs to work out some way of stealing the oil for herself. Meantime, the Palestinian Authority needs to hold off.

Want to drill for oil? Complete a peace agreement with Israel. Simple. Palestinians will do anything and everything to avoid the reality of the situation; that a peace agreement is their only route to a Palestinian state and self-determination.

#4:It's amazing how you always bring it back to blaming Palestinians for not accepting a, totalitarian,inequitable,false-"peace agreement",when you know full well that the illegal Israel occupation & apartheid expansion must HALT first.Israel must retreat(as per international laws)back behind the Green Line,at least.International LAWS/Conventions are the 'reality' &Israel isn't above any of those. That arrogance &contempt is unsustainable for Israel's 'patrons! No host?No voracious, nasty, parasite
