BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – Hamas is not interested in any confrontation with Israel, but if a confrontation is imposed, the movement is ready, says a spokesman of the Islamist movement.

Sami Abu Zuhri told Ma'an that “Hamas isn’t a superpower (ready) to fight a war against Israel, harming our people.”

Asked about the disappearance and killing of three Israeli teenagers, Abu Zuhri said there was only an Israeli version of the story which the occupation is trying to employ against Hamas and the Palestinian people.

The Israeli threats, added the spokesman, “do not scare Hamas,” though the movement takes these threats very seriously.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday accused Hamas of the kidnapping and killing of three Israeli teens.

“The kids were kidnapped and killed in cold blood at the hands of human beasts. Even the devil didn’t kill children, but Hamas did and it is Hamas who will pay the price,” Netanyahu told his security cabinet.

Not interested? Hamas is practically pleading with Israel not to launch a major offensive. As usual, the Palestinians are late and short, and it will again cost them. The Palestinian motto should be: "Six decades of missing every opportunity for peace."

Lest you think that this is some barbaric action on the part of Israeli security forces, consider the following. The Kawasma clan is a family of terrorists. The Kawasmas built the terror structure of Hamas in Hebron and have been personally responsible for the murders of more than 100 Israelis and the woundings of hundreds more. Ask me for the documetation.

With Israel demolition orders, and violent search for a kidanpping and murder of three settler hasn't been proven yet but allegation that Hamas is behind it is unfounded. But yet Israel has to blame someone else for their own stupidity, and leave it as it is, I tend to believe that the killing of the settlers couldn't come but in a better time.

But I thought Hamas has "won" all the wars in Gaza? Lol

It is one thing for Hamas to say they are not responsible for the kidnapping and death of the Israelis but it is completely wrong of them to not look for the killers. That as they say "speaks volumes"

Hamas is only interested in one way confrontation. They like to roar like a mighty lion, but when Israel starts waking up they start crying to all their friends to protect them and put the Jews back to sleep so they may continue their attacks. The game is over. Israel and the Jewish people have had enough!

-1- Israel has never been "interested in confrontation", but Hamas & other Islamic militant groups always impose one, with either bombs, rockets, or kidnappings, and -2- Hamas is "ready" to hide behind women & children again, just like it did in the last war, so that Gaza civilians will die, and international sympathy will be gained.

In Exodus (12, 12) GOD seemed pretty keen on striking down children though. The implication here is that Bibi thinks of himself as God.

Hamas is "Not Scared", because there are plenty of Gaza women and children to use as human-shields (or hide behind), so that Israel's humanity & restraint will prevent them from their 62 virgins too soon.

“The kids were kidnapped and killed in cold blood at the hands of human beasts. Even the devil didn’t kill children, but Hamas did and it is Hamas who will pay the price,” Funny, that. They were two sixteen year olds and a nineteen year old. Israel kills hundreds of such 'children.' If boffing three of them makes for 'human beasts,' what does that make Zionists?

Giving back Gaza was a big mistake. Now it is completely controlled by Hamas. PA is nothing. I would like to see acomplete carpet bombing of the strip but the better move would be to slice off a large piece and demolish it. Leave it as a no man's land with heavy barbed wire and a warning that any Palestinianian that gets close will be shot at immediately.

I'm not familiar with the story about the devil not killing children.Aren't things awful enough?"Pay the price"? We all pay the price. The more violence ..the greater price. That's how it got this way, that's how it continues to go on this way.Where does Mr. Netanyahu imagine he will be after all the prices have been paid ?What will the toll come to when all the prices have been paid?Who will have charged enough?who will have paid enough? At what price death and destruction?

@3 - If I had my time again, I'd write a Phd thesis on 'terrorism', because in today's world it's become a throw away word for Western politicians, who are no longer able to control their former colonial & lower class irritants. For me the lines have become blurred, actions are now reactions. What is emerging, is the product of a much bigger picture, so I no longer sit too much in judgement of families like the Qawasmeh, although I do try to understand why. Most reading material is valid (cont)

(cont) so do post any links you have. I’m sure someone with a non de plume such as yours, has some interesting stuff. @10: Doesn’t the Bible, especially the Old Testament forbid the worship of idols & false gods as an abomination. I seem to remember a story about the golden calf in the time of Moses, among others. I thought Zionism was supposed to be the epitome of religious manifestation, or maybe I got that wrong.

“The kids were kidnapped and killed in cold blood at the hands of human beasts. Even the devil didn’t kill children, but Hamas did and it is Hamas who will pay the price,” Netanyahu told his security cabinet." That's some bizarre s***, even for Bibi. But his Bible studies is a bit rusty. Satan killed Job's family to win a bet. But the big child-killer is Yahweh. He LOVES it. The first born of Egypt who probably didn't even VOTE for Pharaoh and there was certainly no exception made for children
