GAZA CITY (Ma’an) – Israeli warplanes launched multiple airstrikes across the Gaza Strip early Sunday morning without causing injuries, locals told Ma’an.
In Gaza City, a missile hit a military base known as Abu Jarad in the southern outskirts of the city, and an open area near a car market in the Zaytoun neighborhood.
On Saturday night, Israeli jets fired a missile at a group of Palestinians in the Musabbih neighborhood in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip injuring two.
Another airstrike on southern Gaza hit a poultry farm in al-Qarara north of Khan Younis.
In an emailed statement, Israel's military confirmed the strikes and said they were in retaliation for rocket fire.
"Following constant rocket fire at Israeli communities in the south, IAF aircraft targeted 10 terror sites in the central and southern Gaza strip, including concealed rocket launchers and a weapon manufacturing facility," it said.
