LONDON (AFP) -- British Foreign Secretary William Hague said he will discuss how to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza with US Secretary of State John Kerry and his German and French counterparts during talks in Vienna on Sunday.

Hague said in a statement on Saturday that the discussions on ending the hostilities between Israel and Gaza would take place on the sidelines of talks on Iran's nuclear program in the Austrian capital.

A ceasefire is a gain for Hamas and a loss for Israel. A ground invasion is also a gain for Hamas and a loss for Israel. Setting aside the casualties on both sides. Israel will not acept a ceasefire, and Hamas will still keep their invit for Israel to enter Gaza, but Israel will rather keep their airstrike to continue than taking a chance to have their ground forces in harms way.
