GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The military wing of the Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad said on Wednesday that the fighting in Gaza will continue until the demands of the Palestinian resistance are met, a day after an attempt at a ceasefire with Israel fell through.

The al-Quds Brigades said in a statement that the all Israeli cities and towns would remain under fire," as the resistance has prepared for a long battle which the enemy could not have expected."

The statement said that the al-Quds Brigades had fired 864 missiles and shells at Israeli towns in the eight days since the conflict began.

The attacks included 273 Grad missiles, 32 Buraq missiles, 5 Fajr (5) missiles and one Kornet missile, a Russian-made anti-tank guided missile.

Although Palestinian groups including Islamic Jihad and Hamas have fired more than 1,200 rockets into Israel since fighting began, they have caused only minor damage, killing one Israeli civilian volunteering with soldiers near the border and injuring a soldier in two separate incidents.

Despite this, the rockets have caused widespread panic across Israel, as for the first time they have struck as far north as Tel Aviv and Haifa as well as Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Over the same period of time, Israel has killed 209 Palestinians in Gaza and injured 1,560 in around-the-clock air strikes in the besieged coastal enclave.

Also on Wednesday, Israeli news site Maariv said that Hamas and Islamic Jihad had offered Israel a 10-year truce if Israel agreed to 10 conditions primarily related to the lifting of a seven-year economic siege.

The only reason Israel accept the ceasefire is to let Hamas around for a long time to use them whenever a peace negotiation takes place. They need Hamas around, what Israel is doing is hitting more civilian targets to have an edge in the fighting, the more civilian casualties the more Israel will be seen they have accomplish something. Hamas has its demand, so over 200 dead will not die in vain. Its reasonable, but of course not to Israel.

Until Hamas's demands are met? What a sick joke on the people of Gaza. Gazans are dying because Hamas wants to make a point. Hamas should be charged with crimes against humanity for what they've done to Israel AND for the catastrophe they've brought to their own people. Hamas will be disarmed and disbanded- their time is over. Sane people must take control of Gaza and throw Haniyeh and Mashaal into the ocean. The people of Gaza must remove Hamas- a blight on human history.

- Israel Has Begun Anew, On How To Deal With Your War Crimes,
of hiding behind Gaza's women and children "human-shields", and
- Israel Will NOT Reward You For Your Terrorism Either,
So Your Demands Will Not Be Met - Ever, and If That Means "Fighting in Gaza will continue" Forever, Then Gaza Will Suffer - Forever !!

'Disputed' west bank, not 'occupied.' How come the 'Palestinians' didn't complain when Jordan occupied it from 1948 to 1967? Oh, I see. Being occupied by a foreign Muslim state is ok. Having a Jewish state control the region is unIslamic, right? Doesn't the Quran state that no infidel shall ever have any control over any Muslim? Yes, it does. This is just dar al-Islam trying to regain land that infidel Israel conquered, nothing more.

Hamas has continuously called for the annihilation of the Jewish state, has sworn to fight the "enemy" to the death and says they will never compromise 1 inch of "Palestinian" land. Sounds to me like they don't wanna play nice, so since they wanna fight let them fight, don't cry to the UN, don't beg for condemnation from the world, don't hide behind women and children, etc etc. The path they chose can only lead to one thing, and that is to war, lets hope Israel gives them what they want.

This will never be resolved un til there is two separate states and Israel stop the illegal building of settlements. I find it incredible for Jews who experience ethnic cleansing are doing the same thing to the Palestinians.
