GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- At least one journalist was injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Palestinian media buildings in the Gaza Strip early Friday.

Israeli Apache helicopters targeted the al-Jawhara tower in Gaza City at 4 a.m., causing damage to at least 10 apartments in the building, which holds several media offices.

Photojournalist Muhammad Shabab was injured and taken to al-Shifa hospital for treatment.

Two municipality workers at street level were injured as rocks and debris covered the area.

Israeli forces also targeted the Daoud Tower in the al-Rimal neighborhood, cutting off the broadcast of a local radio station and injuring several employees.

The Israeli army has been regularly accused of targeting Palestinian journalists by international watchdogs, and attacks on news and radio stations in Gaza have generally been more frequent during times of bombardment.

'Watchdogs?' Did these watchdogs report the firing of over a thousand rockets into Israel by Hamas? What kind of 'reporting' is that? They aren't journalists, they're propagandists.

You can read more than 95% of all rocket launches by militant palestinians here at ma'an. Do you get the same amount of commandoactions actions, bombardements, shootings from sea or the border, in israeli oder western media. No! Due to the military censorship.

The world won't do anything until western journalists are injured or killed. And David, how many casualties has Israel suffered since this recent conflict began? One soldier, NO CIVILIANS. Israel is also targeting hospitals.

Not to mention that CNN has pulled their reporter because of a tweet in which she shamed Israelis cheering the bombings. NBC pulled their reporter after he tweeted that he had played with the four boys killed on the beach minutes before they died. We wouldn't want to reflect Palestinians as humans in the U.S., would we, David? The U.S. and Israel are the ones using propaganda. But let's keep shoveling billions of dollars to Israel's defense fund because they're such good humanitarians (sarcasm)

David, You need a wake up call! Look at the Facts and Figures about injuries, deaths and homes, hospitals destroyed. Palestinians...of any age are being targeted. The kind Israelis have told people in northern Gaza to leave their homes. Where are they supposed to find safety? As a US citizen I am outraged by what is being done to Gaza. It could not happen with out US support...3.5 billion in military aid...and defense of Israel's policies and actions.... There is no justification.
