BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli media on Saturday reported that Israeli soldiers shot and killed a "booby-trapped donkey" as it approached them near Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israeli Channel Two said that "paratroopers received information about the donkey and they were able to shoot it before it approached."

Ah, the old 'booby-trapped donkey' tale doing the rounds again... Was it the same 'booby-trapped donkey' who was shot during Cast Lead, I wonder?

Hamas are known to use children in their defence tactics and also when attacking their enemies so why shouldn't they not use a donkey?
