BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – The office of the coordinator of Israeli government activities in the territories Yoav Mordechai announced Sunday that Israel decided to open a field hospital at Erez crossing Sunday.

It will receive Palestinian men, women, children and elderly people injured during the ongoing fighting in Gaza.

Mordechai added in a statement released Sunday that injured Palestinians could be transferred to Israeli hospitals if that is necessary.

Meanwhile, Palestinian minister of health Jawad Awwad accused Israel of impeding entry of medical supplies into Gaza.

He highlighted that Israel on Sunday allowed the entry of a truckload of medical supplies to Gaza after the shipment had been delayed at the crossing for two days.
