GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The Gaza strip has sustained damages of roughly $3 billion since the start of the Israeli offensive, minister of national economy Mohammad Mustafa estimated Monday.

Mustafa said in a statement that the role of his ministry has doubled in light of the continuous Israeli offensive and targeting of houses, farms, and economic, social and health facilities.

Mustafa added that the ministry was cooperating with the private sector to provide Palestinians in Gaza with urgent needs, mainly medical supplies, but they are also administering relief campaigns.

Mustafa said that initial loss estimates were approximately $3 billion, which is more than the $1.8 billion GDP in Gaza Strip.

When you dance with the devil (Hamas), you have the hell to pay.

If Hamas doesn't wake up, smell the cordite and declare a ceasefire, $3 billion will be a fraction of the final total.

The U.S. can cancel the $3 billion it gives to Israel every year----and give that to Gaza.

3., Or, the US can push for disbanding UNRWA, saving the whole world even more money. After all, UNRWA facilities have been implicated in storing Hamas weapons; if Gaza doesn't respect UNRWA, it should not enjoy the benefits of UNRWA.

That is a great waste of foreign aid. Talk to Hamas. Ask their wealthy supporters to compensate you. Hamas got you into this, aided and abetted by UNRWA.

The 3bil given to Israel is not just for defense against Hamas. Israel is a democracy Gaza is run by a terrorist organization. Hamas spends money on terror and uses child labor to further the goal..160 children died. Gaza doesn't have the GDP, no one will give 3bil to terrorist. How ever unlikely the concessions, they won't happen because of inability to transfer funds to terrorists and Hamas propensity to divert funds to themselves. Would Hamas be as non negotiable from Gaza vs a Luxury hotel?
