GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Several Palestinians were injured on Wednesday after Israeli forces shelled the area around a 700-year-old mosque in central Gaza, medical sources said.

The mosque, known as al-Shamaa ("The Candle"), is located in the Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City and was reportedly shelled just before noon.

Also known as Bab al-Darum, the mosque is located in a dense area near Gaza's historic Old City that has been bombed numerous times by Israeli forces.

I am an American Christian &Veteran. Palestine & Israel equally are sacred, pluralistically. A Holy sanctuary for ALL. A historical treasure for all equally! But radical, political, ideological Zionism's insulted, offended,& spat on us ALL,equally, including JEWS!Israeli Zionism &its patrons have LOST sight of the WIDER picture &implications,as Zionism DEFAMES the Holy Land FOR EVERYONE equally. If Israeli Jews want to know,"Who Hates Us More"(signs on Kindergarten/school walls)? ZIONISM DOES!

when will we see the end to this one sided war? put ourselves in this situation and see how it feels? United Nation must stop this by force if needed. No excuses for this level of force used by Israel in occupied land, thanks to the Balfour mandate after the second world war.
