HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces near Hebron on Saturday as mourners buried a man who was shot by Israeli forces that day before, a Ma'an reporter said.

The clashes broke out after mourners participated in funeral march for Eid Abd al-Kadir Fadhelat, who was killed Friday during a protest against Israel's Gaza offensive.

Palestinians chanted slogans condemning the Fadhelat's killing, in addition to slogans against Israel's assault on Gaza.

Dozens of Palestinians suffered from excessive tear gas inhalation as Israeli forces broke up the protest.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said "a few hundred (were) hurling rocks at Israeli forces, who responded with riot dispersal means," a term usually referring to tear gas, rubber-coated bullets, and stun grenades.

Israeli forces shot and killed Fadhelat, 28, just before sunset in al-Arrub Friday evening.

Red Crescent coordinator Mohammad Khamis Badawi said that Fadhelat was shot with several bullets in the chest and shoulder, and was taken to a hospital in Hebron but died before reaching the emergency room.

Badawi added that four others were injured with live bullets, and 22 with rubber-coated bullets in clashes that broke out after a demonstration in solidarity with Gaza.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said that several Palestinians "hurled rocks at soldiers" in the area and that one "attacked" a soldier and "attempted to snatch his weapon." The soldier subsequently shot and killed him.

Fadhelat was one of six Palestinians to be shot dead in Gaza solidarity protests in the West Bank on Friday.

Two other Palestinians were killed in similar protests after midnight Saturday.

Yes, they are grieving, but these idiots must realize that - "Clashing with Israeli Forces" Caused the Man to be "Slain", and - Clashing with Israeli Forces Will Surely Caused More to be Slain !!

Clashing with Israeli forces can also mean being asleep in bed. Was it wrong for Jews to stand up to oppression in Warsaw? They also knew they would be killed but they had the dignity to try. What would they think of Israels aggression and land theft .I wonder?
