GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Gaza electricity repair crews on Sunday narrowly survived an Israeli artillery shelling that nearly struck two vehicles carrying crews, a company official said.

Gaza Electricity Distribution Company public relations director Jamal Dardasawi told Ma'an that Israeli artillery targeted the vehicles despite the fact that both vehicles are clearly marked as belonging to the electricity company.

In military conflicts, it is common for civilians to be allowed and encouraged to escape the conflict area. In the case of Gaza, civilians can't escape the conflict because of the Israeli blockade. It is seen that all of Gaza is a military target. So for the IDF to say that Hamas hides behind civilians is not true. Civilians have no place to escape because of the Israeli blockade. Let Israel allow Palestine civilians to leave Gaza. Only then could Israel be considered humanitarian.
