GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The United Nations said on Tuesday that electricity availability across the Gaza Strip had dropped to 0 hours a day in many areas, after Israeli forces shelled the besieged coastal enclave's sole power plant.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territories said in a report on Tuesday that electricity availability had dropped to two hours a day in Gaza City, while large swathes of the central Gaza Strip had no electricity at all.

At the same time, the entirety of the Gaza Strip was now suffering from a major water shortage, with major reductions or halts being felt among all of the region's 1.8 million people as Israeli strikes widely targeted infrastructure.

The report also said that a total of 240,000 Gazans had now sought shelter in UN schools or shelters, despite six Israeli bombings that have hit them in the last two weeks.

More than 1 in 8 Gazans are now residing in UN shelters. Hundreds of thousands more have been told by Israel to evacuate northern Gaza neighborhoods, although it is unclear if they have anywhere to go.

How many billions of dollars has Hamas invested in its army and military infrastructure.? Did it spend any money on improving the medical health system, electrical grid, relay stations and power plant? Hamas promised war, prepared for war, built military infrastructure in civilian areas beneath in and beside mosques, hospitals, schools, peoples' houses and in public and UNWRA buildings. Hamas got war and the civilian casualties which they anticipated would occur while they sit in bunkers.

when Hamas accepts peace not a hudna, beats its swords into ploughs and its tunnels into sewars, the electricity plant will be reopened, the port of GAZA will operate, the border crossings will open and the people of Gaza can live instead of acting as pawns of the Brotherhood. Imagine Gaza with Hotels lining the beach
