JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Hamas called for Palestinians in the West Bank to participate in "Day of Anger" demonstrations in all cities and villages of the West Bank on Friday in solidarity with the people of the besieged Gaza Strip and with the forces resisting the Israeli military assault.

Hamas called upon Palestinians to take part in a march of 100,000 in Hebron city, which will set of from in front of al-Hussein mosque heading to Shuhada Street.

Marches will set off from in front of Omar Bin al-Khattab mosque in Bethlehem, al-Suq mosque in Qalqiliya, and al-Bireh mosque in Ramallah.

A march will set off from al-Jadid mosque in Tulkarem and from al-Haj Maazuz al-Masri mosque in Nablus.

The marches come on the 24th day of an Israeli assault that has killed more than 1,400, the vast majority of whom have been civilians.

Israeli forces killed nine Palestinians in the West Bank in a 24-hour period last week as tens of thousands took the streets in solidarity with Gaza in the largest demonstrations since the Second Intifada.

Be careful what you ask for. It won't take much for someone in Israel to call a million man "Day of Rage" and when they start walking towards the Temple Mount with hammers and picks, there won't be any stopping them. The 'third holiest (but unmentioned) site in Islam' will be pile of rubble by the time they are done. Considering that Hamas started the fighting with their decade of rockets, maybe they should have called for a 'Day of Calm.' But that goes against their warped jihad philosophy.

Hamas appeared in the 80's, Israel was created in 1948 with the occupation of Palestine. The first terrorists groups in Palestine were the Irgun and the Stern, what became the core of the IDF.

@ David try your million man towards Al Aqsa mosque and watch millions from every corner of Israel break borders along Israel and there will be no where for the European invaders to hide. I would watch what your saying Israel is already on a downward spiral and you will put the final nail on it's coffin!

Amazed the West Bank is silent. The people of the world are more proactive than the West Bank. Shame on them.

There were no Hamas before the occupation and several decades after. Hamas is a reaction to occupation, apartheid and war crimes committed since 1948 by the occupier of their land. It is a legitimate liberation mouvement of resistance as per international law, against occupation, aparthed and war crimes of the occupier.

Solution: end the occupation, boycott the apartheid regime.

The record is clear: Israel started this latest conflict as they always started conflicts with the Palestinians. NuttyYahoo was threatened by the announced unity government by the PA and Hamas and found an excuse to attack Palestinians in the West Bank when three settlers were kidnapped and killed. NuttyYahoo let his soldiers go on a rampage in the West Bank, demolishing houses, detaining hundreds of Palestinians without trial, and so on. On Juny 1, Gaza was bombed 30 times and Hamas responded.
