CAIRO (AFP) -- President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Saturday an Egyptian truce plan provided a "real chance" to end the Gaza conflict, stressing the need for its speedy implementation.

"The Egyptian proposal is the real chance to find a solution to the crisis in Gaza and to end the bloodshed," Sisi told a joint news conference with visiting Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

"Time is decisive, we have to take advantage of it quickly to douse the fire in the (Gaza) Strip ... and to stop the bloodshed of Palestinians."

A Palestinian delegation is expected in Cairo on Saturday to discuss a truce, a day after a temporary ceasefire collapsed with Israel and Hamas blaming each other.

Hamas can buy a truce with the bodies of the two missing soldiers, but Hamas will get nothing else (Not prisoners, Not borders, & Not blockade) from starting this war a 4th time !!

#2 Reality check Tibi/Tubas is that Hamas didn't start this particular genocide, Israel backed by good old Uncle Sam chose to kick off, because it didn't get its way when it tried to trash the unity gov, thereby putting a series of events in place that led to the current situation. Hamas along with the backing of the PLO have stated their requirements. Negotiations should go via Cairo, including those for any soldiers they may or may not have. Stop the killing & talk, its the only way forward!!!
