BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- An Israeli official told Ma'an Saturday that most residents of the northern Gaza Strip "are allowed" to return to their homes.

Yoav Mordechai, Israel's coordinator of government activities in the Palestinian territories, told Ma'an that "with the exception of residents of Beit Hanoun," residents of northern Gaza could return to their homes.

Mordechai, however, warned Palestinians against approaching the separation barrier in the north, saying they could be shot if they did so.

Many of the residents will return to find their homes destroyed or damaged by Israeli attacks. Over 5,000 homes have been destroyed and some 26,000 damaged throughout the offensive.

The Israeli army has repeatedly commanded Palestinians in Gaza to leave their homes throughout the ongoing offensive on the Strip, sometimes detailing where Palestinians should go to escape bloodshed.

However, many cases have been documented where Palestinians follow instructions and end up being killed by Israeli forces in the places they are told to take refuge.

Over 250,000 Palestinians have been displaced by Israel's assault on Gaza.

'Return home"??To which HOMES? All that's left in many districts is a flattened MOONSCAPE of Israeli destruction, with BODIES OF MEN,WOMEN,CHILDREN STILL lying there under the rubble UNDISCOVERED yet! Israel letting Palestinian Gazan families"go home"is like Hitler letting Jews go"home"to Warsaw ghetto,or USG letting WTC office workers go back to work the day after 9/11! You're a pig,Zionist-led Israel & a BRUTAL COWARD!

@1 As their de-facto government, Hamas will help them with re-housing. In the same way Hamas as their de-facto government protected them from the Khazar Zionisti invaders.

The consequences should have been considered by Hamas before it decided to escalate missile firings and start this mess. Now all of Gaza suffers because of its cynical, selfish decision.

It is truly shocking, horrible, disgusting what is happening in Gaza. And the world is silent - or ignores the facts: a) it was Israel the broke the ceasefire - which Hamas had been observing since 2012. b) What supposedly started the war in Gaza - the three murdered settler-boys near Hebron. Not the faintest evidence was ever produced that Hamas was involved. But Israel bombed them - and, more terribly - the civilian population!! Why? The real reason: Bibi's fear of the new Unity Government!

Is Israel stupid or playing stupid. Return where?. The problem if all Palestinians are misplaced they have nowhere to go. If the Israelis are misplaced millions of them can always storm the US. That if the US will let them in. Good reason enought for the US to help them secure their existence where they are.
