GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israel did not provide a clear response to the Palestinian ceasefire conditions, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said Friday as truce talks stalled in Cairo.

At a news conference in Gaza City, Abu Zuhri said that the lack of response undermined Palestinian demands and that “Israeli stubbornness led to not extending the ceasefire.”

A 3-day ceasefire expired Friday morning, leading to renewed clashes between Israel and Palestinian factions in Gaza. Another unofficial ceasefire mostly held later the same day.

Abu Zuhri accused Israel of stalling and wasting time, adding that its leader must accept all Palestinian conditions.

He said that Israel rejected the establishment of an airport or a seaport and refuses to expand the fishing zone.

Also Friday, Hamas leader Izzat al-Rashq said that the Palestinian delegation in Cairo did not receive an Israeli response to any of the Palestinian demands.

He added in a posting on Facebook that the Israeli delegation was maneuvering and held it accountable for the failure to achieve an agreement.

In Gaza those left to mourn, remember almost 2000 people who have lost their lives, whilst others tend to the displaced, injured and helpless. In Israel women worry about whether the war is making them fat (too many M & M's & syrup drinks), and both genders sexualise the conflict, by putting out porno images relating to war. No wonder Israel can't be bothered to respond to Palestinians demands.

Hamas' only ace in the hole was kidnapped Israelis. The kidnapping attempt in early July went terribly wrong and since then Hamas has been adlibing.

Israel consider that war ended for the time being till next time. And next time for Israel would be in couple more years. Hamas think different, they want to get done with but Israel don't. Hamas is Israel key for their survival, Hamas around Israel can keep what they got. Hamas out Israel will have to make peace and give the Palestinians their occupy territories and their State. Something that Israel doesn't want. Hamas wants to fight it out, Israel wants to talk themselves out.

Israel's absolute number one demand of Hamas, is DEMILITARIZATION.Hamas will never agree to that in any form. So why is both sides wasting time.

No clear response? Here it is: you disarm and you get everything - ports, border crossings and a partridge in a pear tree. But no more rockets. The problem is that you want us to give you a sea port to bring in weapons and an airport to bring in Iranian military advisors. Sorry chumps, no deal.

There needs to be more communication between the two sides, lack of communication is the reason Hamas couldn't commit to the first ceasefire initiative. The only way to broker a ceasefire is to engage in open dialogue. Stop the stonewalling of the Palestinian delegation, they have a right to know what is going on & the people of Gaza have the right to live in peace. International politics has created enough misery for Palestinians. Now is the time for them to finally have their rights. End siege

No person would open his house door to let someone in whose announced goal is to kiil everybody in the house. So it is with a sovereign nation. Why would a sovereign state open the borders for free passage for terrorists whose announced goal is to kill everybody in that nation? Get real!!
