GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities said that the Kerem Shalom crossing would be opened on Friday in order to allow the entrance of "limited quantities" of supplies into the Gaza Strip.

The crossings committee of the Palestinian Ministry of the Interior said in a statement that 30 trucks of UNRWA humanitarian supplies would be entering the Gaza Strip through the crossing, the only way for goods to legally enter Gaza.

The statement added that "limited quantities" of fuel and cooking gas would also enter on Friday.

The Kerem Shalom crossing is usually closed on Fridays and Saturdays, but in recent weeks Israeli authorities have kept it open to allow the transfer of small amounts of humanitarian supplies.

Gaza is currently experiencing one of its worst humanitarian crises in years amid a five-week Israeli assault by land, air, and sea that has killed nearly 2,000 people, destroyed or severely damaged the homes of around 100,000, and caused massive damage to infrastructure.

Israel has imposed a siege on the Gaza Strip for the last eight years that has completely limited all imports and exports into the Strip and crippled the tiny coastal enclave's economy.

Strange the this article did not mention the numerous attacks by Hamas and PIJ on the Kerem Shalom crossing that forced its closure several times. Hamas likes to close the crossing, so Palestinians and their supporters who cry rivers about "the closure! the siege!" should go cry their rivers to Hamas. Remeber the Erez Industrial Zone that employed 4000 Gazans? Hamas and PIJ repeatedly attacked it killing both Palestinians and Israelis and forcing it to close too.

Strange how this article did not include the numerous attacks by Israel on Gazan Infastructure, Water facilitys, U.N buildings, and more. Don't even try to use the weapons cache excuse on us.

Gosh Noah, the article didn't draw the comparisons with your illegal occupation of native American nations, nor your numerous attacks on innocent native non-combattants and the outright genocide of dozens of native nations who you wiped off the map. That of course paved the way for people like you to sit on conquered native American and preach to the world. Don't even try to use the "oh that was long ago" excuse on us - you're still an illegal colonist on stolen land, Smejkal.
