GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Hamas leaders in Gaza, the West Bank and Doha are holding meetings Friday before returning to Cairo to discuss a ceasefire agreement, officials said.

Senior Hamas official Izzat al-Rasheq said that Moussa Abu Marzouq will travel to Doha while a Hamas delegation arrived in Tunisia from Cairo on Friday.

Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal is based in the Qatari capital.

Both Palestinian and Israeli delegations are expected to return to Cairo on Sunday.

Palestinian factions agreed to renew a ceasefire for five days on Wednesday as both sides continue talks to reach a permanent agreement after an Israeli military offensive lasting five weeks.

Mashaal, Haniyeh, and Deif have caused more damage to Gaza than Israel ever did. It's time for the people of Gaza to throw them out and move on. With these losers out, everyone wins.

#1 How about Bibi, Leiberman, Bennett & the rest of the ultra Zionists. Maybe if they were removed, all sides could live in peace.

No, David. People are starting to wise up to Israel's fictitious narrative of always being the victim. All this has been caused by the merciless people that support the hardline Zionist cause and vision, which aims at driving out, or killing, all Palestinians. Everything that comes out of the Israeli spokespersons are fabricated lies. More and more people are starting to read and research the real facts for themselves, so the days of simply accepting Israel's lies are winding down.

I think leaders on both sides are punishing the ordinary citizens. If they really want to fight for their people they shuld all get on the ground & part-take in the war. If the know peace could only be achieved through talks why did they sat for so many lives to pass on b4 doing so...?

Hamas was only elected after 20 years of trying to manage peace with Israel was obviously not working. As settlements expanded and Palestininas were humiliated at checkpoints of course the frustrated people would look for an organisation which would stand up to Israel.
