GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The Popular Resistance Committees on Monday said that the demilitarization of Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza should not be up for discussion in the Cairo ceasefire talks with Israel.
PRC Secretary-General Kamal al-Nayrub said in a statement that demilitarization -- a key demand of the Israeli delegation in Cairo talks for a lasting truce in Gaza -- was a "red line" that would not be crossed.
"The blood of our leaders shows us that there is no room for peace with the cowardly Zionist, neither should there be any negotiations over the inalienable rights of our people, no matter what sacrifices are made, until all our displaced people return to their lands and properties," al-Nayrub said.
