GAZA CITY (AFP) -- The military wing of Hamas said it pounded Israel with rocket fire on Tuesday, hitting Tel Aviv and the southern city of Beersheva.

The Israeli military confirmed hits in both places but there were no reported casualties.

"A rocket hit an open area in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area," a statement said.

If the goal is peace and freedom for Palestine, random rockets do not seem to be getting anyone closer to that goal. Talking in the evening when and if you get to your sixties about all the battles you fought the good fight but still lost, gains nothing but trying to make losing feel a bit better. The Irish did that for 600 years. Then they finally thought they would have to change tactics to actually win and to date they are still winning - not quickly but no more losses.
